I am starting to see some pay off from the $500+ investment this spring in a summer farm share. Although the rainy spring has put a damper on veggie growth so most things will be a few weeks later than anticipated, I did get mustard greens, spring onions, basil, chives, garlic scapes and fresh eggs this week. For dinner tonight I had the eggs with some shallots, feta, and the local chives along with a salad of local greens, raisins, and pecans. All in all pretty delicious and quite nice looking!

Excellent, Rachel! I'm having a hard time going local myself -- the weather has been hard...and everything local I can find is "hot house local"...which works, but come on! I'm glad to see you are getting some produce from your CSA. Fantastic, isn't it?
